Terms of Service

1. The Service

CardForge is a free tool that builds showcase images of game inventories and hosts public listing pages for them. CardForge is not a marketplace: it does not process payments, hold funds, provide escrow, charge fees, or take any part in any transaction between buyers and sellers. Any deal you make, you make entirely outside CardForge and at your own risk.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use CardForge. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you may use the service only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian. You may enter into any transaction advertised through the service only if you have the legal capacity to do so.

3. Acceptable Use

You shall use CardForge solely to showcase digital items you lawfully own or are authorized to display. You shall not: (a) misrepresent the ownership, origin, or authenticity of any item or account; (b) publish listings that are fraudulent, misleading, or that infringe third-party rights; (c) use the service to violate any end-user license agreement, terms of service, or policy of any game publisher — including Riot's. CardForge is a neutral publishing tool; what you publish, and the consequences of publishing it, are yours.

You must have the rights to everything you publish. Do not publish: content you do not own or are not authorized to display; stolen accounts or credentials; fraudulent or misleading claims; malware; harassment or impersonation; spam; or anything illegal in your jurisdiction or ours.

4. No affiliation with Riot Games or any publisher

CardForge is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or associated with Riot Games or any other game publisher. "Valorant" and "Riot Games" are trademarks or registered trademarks of Riot Games, Inc. All game names, skin names, characters, imagery, and assets referenced or displayed are the property of their respective owners. They are referenced for identification and descriptive purposes only, and CardForge claims no rights in them.

5. Seller Representations

By publishing a listing, you represent and warrant that you own the items and accounts you list or are fully authorized to display and transfer them; that all descriptions, prices, and other disclosures are accurate and not misleading; and that you have disclosed any account restrictions, bans, or limitations that a buyer would reasonably need to know, in compliance with applicable law.

6. Buyer Acknowledgements

You acknowledge and agree that trading game accounts may breach a publisher's terms of service and that you accept that risk solely; that you are responsible for inspecting any listing using the previews and details CardForge provides before acting; and that any transaction you enter into with a seller is between you and that seller alone. The service does not offer refunds, and you agree not to initiate chargebacks against the service in connection with any off-platform transaction.

7. Transactions Outside the Service

All transactions, payments, and transfers between users, or with any third party, occur entirely outside CardForge. The operator does not facilitate, process, escrow, or guarantee any transaction and is not a party to it. You are solely responsible for the legality and fulfillment of any transaction you enter into, and for any resulting consequences.

8. Riot access tokens

The optional account-import feature lets you paste a short-lived Riot access token so CardForge can read your own account data (level, rank, balances, owned items). Tokens are transmitted once over HTTPS to our server-side proxy, used in memory only, and are never stored, logged, or shared. Treat tokens like passwords: anyone holding one can read the account it belongs to.

9. Intellectual Property & Indemnification

You retain responsibility for all content you upload, publish, or share through the service ("your content"), including any game-related imagery and data retrieved at your direction. By publishing a listing you grant CardForge a limited, non-exclusive license to host and display that content for as long as the listing exists. Third-party game names, item names, characters, and imagery remain the property of their respective owners and are used subject to those owners' policies; CardForge claims no rights in them.

You shall indemnify and hold the operator harmless from any claim, demand, or loss arising from your content, your use of the service, or your off-platform transactions. The operator may suspend or remove any listing upon reasonable notice of abuse, infringement, or publisher enforcement action. The operator's tools, code, and branding remain the operator's exclusive property; you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service.

10. Removal and takedown

We may remove or refuse any listing or content at any time, with or without notice — including on request from a rights holder or publisher. If you believe a listing infringes your rights, contact klstore@proton.me with the listing link and a description of the claim and we will review it promptly.

11. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee availability, uptime, accuracy, or completeness of any listing, nor that any listing, price, seller, or buyer is accurate or truthful. You use the service and rely on any listing entirely at your own risk.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator and CardForge are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from listings, transactions, or use of the service. The operator is never a party to any trade between users. The operator's total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the total fees you paid to the operator in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (or the equivalent in your local currency).

13. Severability, Entire Agreement & No Waiver

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain in full force. These terms are the entire agreement between you and the operator regarding the service and supersede any prior understanding. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction from which the service is operated, as disclosed in response to valid legal process, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

15. Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. The date at the top always reflects the current version, and continuing to use CardForge after a change means you accept it.
